Sourced from A History of the County of Oxford: Volume 3: The University of Oxford, H. E. Salter and Mary D. Lobel (editors), 1954. The list of Chancellors has been compiled mainly from Dr. Salter's Snappe's Formulary (318–35) and his Registrum Cancellarii Oxon. i (xxxv-xxxix), Wood's Fasti, and the Registers of Convocation (Univ. Archives). The month following the first date up to the 14th century, is that of election or admission. In the later period it is that of election.
